New Zealand Police

CI Technologies welcomes New Zealand Police to its growing roster of international customers.

BlueTeam is now the primary platform for intake and and area management of complaints across North and South Islands, while the Professional Standards Unit at Police headquarters in Wellington utilizes IAPro as an integral part of its day-to-day processes.

As part of the implementation at New Zealand Police, new features have been added to both IAPro and BlueTeam that enable improved monitoring of critical incidents, Excel-based specialized reporting formats, and improved support for the managing complaints by front-line supervisory and command staff.

These are in addition to changes that were made to IAPro and BlueTeam to support New Zealand specific phone number and address formatting requirements. As with other large-scale implementations, periodic visits by Company staff to New Zealand ensured that the project progressed in a timely manner.

Migration of the formerly used complaint system was conducted at the outset of usage, and an integration process that sources data nightly from NZ Police Peoplesoft-based human resources software was installed.

Canadian Expansion

During 2010 CI Technologies welcomed three Canadian Police Services as new customers:

  • York Regional Police
  • Barrie Police
  • Saskatoon Police Service

During first quarter 2011, Hamilton Police Service will be installed, with data from existing systems migrated and an interface to their HR system created.

The 3rd Annual IAPro and BlueTeam Canadian Users conference is in the process of being scheduled. It will take place in May 2011 in Brampton, Ontario at a hotel near Toronto Airport, and be open to current and prospective IAPro and BlueTeam customers.

Exact dates and location will be announced in late January.

Conference topics will include a review of Canadian specific features with special emphasis on the revamped disclosure log features that provide enhanced support in meeting disclosure requirements based on the McNeil Decision of the Supreme Court of Canada.
